My Greatest Love

Write a letter to a family member. I choose the obvious of my husband. That does not change how I wrote this letter. I mean every word.

My Greatest Love,

As we are moving into the next stage of life for us, I want to remind you that I am here for you too. Whether you need someone to listen to you or just to sit with you. I’m here. I’m proud of the husband and father you are and continue to grow in too. You have learned how to navigate two very emotional girls. It is still a long road ahead and emotions will just continue to get bigger, but I have faith that you will be there for us.

I have not always been able to tell you what you mean to me. And everyday life gets in the way of the affection that you need from me. But just know that you complete me in every way that another person possibly could. You’re my light house on the stormy sea. You guide me and lift me up when my world wants to crumble. On the good days you love me unconditionally. And I don’t know how you can stand to be around me most of the time.

We vowed forever and I intend on making that a reality. You work so hard to make my life easier. I love every bit of you, from the calluses on your hands to the protection you have for me in your heart. You never question my sanity, even when I do. And you never waiver in your affection for me. I hope you know how much I love you. Even in the hard times. As we are starting new jobs, and as our daughter is starting school, we will stand together. So many changes all at once can overwhelm me easily, and I know you won’t waiver by my side. And none of this will change how I feel about you. I will be here and continue to love you.

I’m yours forever.

With my whole heart,

Katie
